The Role:

As an audio-visual engineer, you install, monitor, and maintain AV equipment.

The ideal candidate will be also responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion. 

 

AV technicians must be able to workdays, nights, and weekends.

 

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities:

 

Your major responsibilities may include but not limited to the followings:

 

·         Report directly to the Country Manager, Office Manager and Project Manager.

·         Attend to training courses as company requirements.

·         Independently research about AV products and technologies and self-learn to gain industry knowledge.

·         Assist in the design and implementation of video systems.

·         Ensuring that AV hardware and software is prepared to meet the needs of the client’s requirements.

·         In charge for self-installation or supervising installation from subcontractor.

·         Cabling and wiring to implement technologies into AV setups.

·         Identify and provide support for Unified Communications platforms including integration into AV systems, video conferencing platforms and other IT tools as necessary

·         Perform appearance and preventive maintenance visits to the system (VC connections, wires, peripherals, speakers, etc)

·         Conduct advanced programming allowing for a single point of control for audio visual systems

·         Storing, transporting, assembling, and disassembling AV equipment.

·         Ensuring the production and updating of AV documentation such as user guides.

·         Maintenance, troubleshooting and problem-solving of hardware and software

·         Support sales team on consulting the technical parts.

·         Support purchasing team on looking for subcontractors, suppliers.

·         Other tasks assigned by or on the behalf of Country Manager.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

·         Holder of Bachelor or above in Electronics/ Electronic and Telecommunication/Relevant Disciplines

·         02 - 3 years of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project management are preferred.

·         Demonstrated experience in the Audio Visual and communications engineering fields. and preferably working with a global infrastructure/ engineering team.

·         Strong experience in AutoCAD is must.

·         Demonstrated AV Control experience including Crestron, Extron, Experience and knowledge of web conferencing tools such as WebEx and Cisco meeting place a plus.

·         Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.

·         Good command of spoken and written English and Vietnamese.

·      Flexibility and adaptability

·         Troubleshooting – AV technicians troubleshoot all equipment issues in a timely manner.

·         Customer service interfacing with customers and guests on-site to make sure their desires are met and that equipment is functioning is a major responsibility of these technicians

·         Organization skills: being organized is a requirement for AV technicians due to the tools, wiring, cables, and parts that they must methodically sort and install.
