Chief Executive Officer
Laurie is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vega Global. He humbly started his career in 1980 as a sales executive selling projectors to different Hong Kong schools. With his ambition and hard work, he founded Vega Technology Ltd. in 1986, which began as a local distributor of audiovisual equipment. Over the years, Vega rapidly grew as a critical distribution agency for international AV and IT manufacturers. In 2010, Laurie started to bring the business globally and endeavoured to expand Vega's operations in the global setting. That same year, Vega established offices in Singapore and Japan, which triggered its rapid growth across APAC and Europe. Today, Vega has a comprehensive network of more than 600 professionals working across 20+ offices in 16+ counties. With his extensive sales experience and a keen eye on business development, Laurie has led Vega to become one of the largest AV and IT solutions Provider in APAC.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer
Matthew is a seasoned senior executive with more than 20 years of management experience within the professional services industry. His career started in Project Management and progressed to in-house project delivery of corporate real estate and IT projects through to regional sales and business development. His focus is on business management, business strategy, client engagement, new business development, sales management and account management with multinational clients throughout the APAC regions.
Matthew has extensive global experience, with a deep understanding of doing business in the Asia Pacific region where he has been based for most of his life. He utilises strong leadership and man-management to develop and implement strategic plans and attract, coach and guide successful teams within the organisation.
As Vega Global's deputy CEO, Matthew is responsible for the business's running and growth globally. Through his strong management background, he closely works with the executive leadership team and country managers to align the strategic objectives, ensuring all of Vega's efforts are delivered consistently in a tangible, efficient, and effective manner.
Chief Operating Officer
Paul has 25 years of experience working in the technology industry and has overseen some of Asia's most significant projects. He is conversant in communication technology systems' fundamental principles across multiple engineering disciplines, knowledge levels, and is a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
He is experienced in leading and building teams, formulating & managing annual budgets over multiple projects, and inspiring staff to fulfil their potential. He is also a seasoned communicator with the board-level executive. A veteran hospitality expert involved in designing and installing technology systems in many of Macau's Integrated Resorts. In 2007 he led the IT, AV and Guest Room Entertainment design for Wynn Macau followed by Melco, City of Dreams for casino experts JBA Consulting Engineers. In 2012, he became a founding partner of Coherent Technology Consulting Limited, a company specialising in audiovisual design with offices in Macau, Hong Kong and Las Vegas. In 2015 Paul lead the technology installation for Wynn Palace Macau, Wynns largest and most ambitious project to date.
As Vega Global's COO, Paul is central to restructuring and transforming its business operations, improving efficiency, and building upon the Vega's strong foundation for achieving growth.
Chief Financial Officer
Colin is a Chartered Accountant with over 19 years of extensive experience in merger and acquisitions, corporate finance, financial and business management. As Vega Global’s Chief Financial Officer, Colin oversees all aspects of the group financial functions and plays a key role in the continuous enhancement of the global business and financial management function.
Prior to joining Vega, Colin worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte in Hong Kong and Canada in Transactions and Assurance services, and also worked with Canadian and Hong Kong based corporations as senior finance executive managing the corporate finance and central financial reporting function.
Colin is a member of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants in Canada and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Executive Director, Greater China
Molly is an established Senior Executive with over 20 years of experience in the AV and IT Industry. She joined Vega in 1997 as Sales Manager handling clients in the education industry. In 2000, she developed various sales strategies, leading to Vega's acquisition of several projects in the banking and finance sectors. That same year, she was promoted as the Executive Director for Vega Technology Ltd.
With Molly's dedication and the right ear for business, she became one of the key figures to drive Vega's development to the different vertical markets. Vega remains the preferred partner of enterprises and Fortune Global 500 companies to fulfil their Audiovisual, Conferencing, and Collaboration technology requirements.
Molly also plays a crucial role in Vega's globalisation efforts and is actively involved in overseeing the Greater China's operations while keeping her hands on the headquarters' sales and marketing strategies.
Director, Global Business
Before being appointed as Global Business Director, Kenneth led the Global Account Management team for Vega Global. His most significant impact on Vega's account management focused on streamlining complete and accurate communication internally and externally. This has paved the way for the group to provide the best support to both our clients and the teams across all of Vega's offices.
He also plays a critical role in managing multiple accounts across multiple locations, coordinating interactions between clients and local offices while ensuring all details and processes are clearly communicated to all parties. His strong communication skills and expertise in building professional relationships with clients and within Vega have allowed Kennet to stand out in his role. He instates in-depth dialogue to benefit all parties in planning for successful project delivery and staying connected throughout all projects' complete life cycle.
In 2020, InAVate APAC included Kenneth on the 40 under 40 list of top AV industry talents.
Director, Digital Workplace
Heather is based in our Hong Kong office, and plays a key role in our corporate digital workplace work across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
She is known as the “queen of friendly smile” she has the kind of energy and sense of fun that help lift any situations through even the largest, most challenging problems.
With over 20 years of client-side experience, her extensive background in the commercial real estate selection and contractual obligations, strategic operations, and hands-on project management gives her the leverage to take on the challenge of delivering innovative digital workplace solutions for the pro AV market.
Country Manager, Australia
Nik is a professional AV and IT engineer with over ten years of experience in the industry. His career started in the technical and engineering field before moving up to a management position.
He has developed business management skills over the years and has brought Vega Australia to many successful project acquisitions. Part of his business insight also leads to several global account projects for Vega Global.
As Vega Australia's Country Manager, Nik's primary responsibility is to oversee the operations and drive sales. He also makes sure that his team implements the highest standards of customer service to all clients.
Country Manager, Hong Kong
Richard has been with Vega for more than ten years. Before being appointed as Managing Director, he was the Global Sales Manager for the group. Richard has been instrumental to Vega's globalisation efforts and has brought in many projects from large corporations.
As Vega Hong Kong's country manager, Richard oversees the local sales and operations for the region.
Managing Director, India
Blessing has over 15 years of experience in AV business development with a proven track record of exceeding sales revenue growth. Before joining Vega in 2012, Blessing was the national head of AV and multimedia for AGC Networks Limited (Avaya Global Connect by Essar Group), where he handled sales, marketing, alliance management, and presales for India.
Blessing has massively contributed to the growth of Vega India since stepping in as country manager. He has led his team towards best practices in sales and service delivery, which directly contributed to several projects and global accounts acquisition in the region.
In 2020, Blessing was listed in the InAVate APAC's 40 under 40 top AV professional list.
Country Manager, Indonesia
Melvin has over ten years of experience in business development and sales from various AV and IT firms in Indonesia. Before joining Vega, Melvin worked for Crestron Electronics as the country manager of Indonesia. He was responsible for its operations and marketing and the creation, development, and maintenance of sales channels all across the region.
When he joined Vega in 2016, Melvin was tasked to set up Indonesia's operations, where he started and grew his team and client base over the years. He has led Vega Indonesia to successful projects and global accounts and has contributed significantly to its growth in the region.
Managing Director, Japan
Richard has extensive experience in sales and business development in the IT and telecommunications industry. Over the years, he also earned comprehensive knowledge and skills in technology transfer and licensing, software sales, and industrial applications.
As country manager of Vega Japan, Richard is responsible for the branch office's overall operations, including managing all its financial aspects such as bank loans, cash flow, p&l reporting, and forecasting. He is also involved in business development and resource management.
Richard is also responsible for initiating and integrating internal processes and applications to enhance the process flow within his team. This includes integrating a CRM system for the sales team, a ticketing system for the maintenance team, and a PM application for the project management team.
Managing Director, Macau
Joe is an experienced AV professional with over ten years' experience in the industry. He gained extensive AV engineering experience during his time as a manager for the special effects team at Galaxy Entertainment in Macau.
As Vega's country manager of Vega Macau, Joe is responsible for the sales, administration, and overseeing of the engineering and projects team. He also engages with the global team to implement the strategic growth plan of the Macau operations. Joe is also responsible for creating and implementing local strategies to grow the business and keep a close relationship with the clients.
Country Manager, Malaysia
Wayne is an accomplished AV and IT professional with over ten years of experience in the industry. He has gathered several industry qualifications over the years for both engineering and design; and has thorough knowledge working with diverse multinational clients.
Before being appointed as Vega Malaysia's country manager, his career focus is on design, engineering, and service, rendering a wide range of compatible technologies and solutions to clients.
Wayne's responsibility includes day-to-day overseeing of Vega Malaysia's operations and proactively driving sales by leading his team to provide demonstrations on AV and other video conference systems to the clients.
Country Manager, Philippines
Angelo has a solid 10 years of experience in Business Development and Business Management. Having served various local AV and IT companies in the Philippines, he has developed keen skills in business management, budgeting, and financial planning. His background was mainly focused on Key Account Management and Consultancy, which further sharpened his business acumen.
Angelo's responsibilities as Vega Philippines' Country Manager is not only limited to the local market and Vega's operations; instead, he and his team also work closely with the Global Account Managers to drive local projects under GAM.
Managing Director, Singapore
Chengyi is a seasoned AV professional with over ten years of experience holding strong positions in sales, account management, and business development. His career in the AV industry began in 2010 when he assumed the sales engineer and sales manager's role for a local AV integrator in Singapore. In 2012 he briefly joined Vega Global before moving up to LG electronics in 2014 as its business development manager for Asia. In 2017, Chengyi worked for Harman Professional as business development director for APAC and then moved to Bose Professional the following year as territory manager for Korea and ASEAN regions. In 2020, Chengyi returned to Vega Global as the new country manager of its Singapore office.
Chengyi is responsible for developing and executing the groups business strategies for Vega Singapore, including strategic business development and sales growth of the branch offices while closely working with the headquarters in Hong Kong to maximise opportunities on a global scale.
Country Manager, South Korea
Ricky is an experienced AV professional with more than 15 years' experience in the industry. His career started in AV sales and progressed to regional sales in the Asia Pacific for Aethra. In 2014, Ricky moved to Haivision as a senior sales engineer before moving to AVI-SPL coordinating projects for Google Campus in Korea.
In March 2018, Ricky was officially appointed as Vega Korea's country manager. His day-to-day responsibilities include daily overseeing of operations and sales and to accelerate growth for the region. With his experience in sales, Ricky has driven his team to successful project acquisitions since his appointment.
Country Manager, Taiwan
Sidney is a seasoned senior executive with 30 years of management experience within the AV professional services industry. His AV professional skills and related engineering career began in 1990 when he joined Linfair Engineering Group. During this period, Sidney participated in the design and construction of AV-related projects of various types and sizes, including the Macau Hotel Theatre Sound, Light and Suspension System Project; the 2008 Beijing Olympic the Wukesong Sports Centre sound reinforcement system and suspension system engineering projects, etc.
In 2008, Sidneymoved to AMX Asia Limited Taiwan as Country Manager before moving to Vega Global Taiwan. Sidney successfully launched AMX products for business sales in Taiwan and was responsible for the technical support and after-sales service of the former company AMX ASIA in China, Taiwan, and South Korea. In 2015, he also successfully promoted a 100% growth in AMX Taiwan's turnover. He went from developing customer sources, maintaining customer relationships, and gradually to project execution. And to assist dealers in developing system integration and development of vertical markets to create win-win results.
In January 2021, Sidney was officially appointed as Vega's Country Manager for Taiwan. His responsibilities include day-to-day overseeing of Vega Taiwan's operations. He proactively drives sales by leading his team in providing customers with system integration in AV/IT solutions, audiovisual conferencing, and collaboration technologies to meet clients' requirements in various professional fields for audiovisual, video conference and collaboration technology.

Office Manager, Vietnam
Before joining Vega Vietnam in 2018 as office manager, Annie has more than ten years of experience in inspection and logistics companies as a customer services specialist with a substantial background working with diverse multinational clients.
Annie's responsibility includes overseeing Vega Vietnam's daily business operations, collaborating with the affiliates to serve multinational customers, delivering projects and support services locally, maintaining high-level and close relationships with customers and vendors, and developing local sales.
