We are seeking a skilled and proactive Audio-Visual Service Assurance Engineer to join our Audio Visual (AV) operations team in Hong Kong. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and rapid recovery of AV systems, particularly Zoom Rooms and associated hardware including Logitech, Crestron, QSC, and other enterprise-grade AV technologies.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AV troubleshooting, incident response, and system remediation, with a strong understanding of AV infrastructure in corporate environments. This is a critical role that supports seamless collaboration and communication across the organization.
This role will be seconded into one of Vega’s largest financial services clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- AV Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Lead the diagnosis and resolution of AV system issues, including Zoom Room failures, hardware malfunctions, and connectivity problems.
- Break-Fix Operations: Perform hands-on repairs and replacements of AV components such as cameras, microphones, speakers, control panels, and networked AV devices.
- Remediation & Recovery: Identify root causes of recurring AV issues and implement long-term solutions to improve system stability and user experience.
- System Monitoring & Quality Assurance: Monitor AV system performance and proactively address degradation or failures to ensure high availability.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of incidents, resolutions, and system changes. Translate technical issues into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with global AV support teams, facilities, and IT to coordinate service restoration and share best practices.
- Project Support: Participate in AV upgrade projects, hardware refreshes, and configuration improvements across meeting spaces.
- Training & Enablement: Provide guidance and training to local support teams and end-users on AV system usage and troubleshooting.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance AV support workflows to improve response times and service quality.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, AV Technology, or a related field an advantage
- Experience: 3 -5 years of experience in AV support or enterprise AV environments
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Zoom Room setup and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with Logitech Rally systems, Crestron control systems, QSC audio solutions
- Familiarity with AV-over-IP, networked AV devices, and room scheduling panels
- Strong understanding of AV signal flow and system integration
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a methodical approach to issue resolution.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in diagnostics and documentation.
