Are you a driven and detail-oriented project management professional looking to advance your career? We are seeking a Project Manager – Audio Visual Systems Integration to join our dynamic AV delivery team in Sydney.
Due to continued growth, VEGA Australia (Vega Global Australia Pty Ltd) is looking for a Project Manager with 2+ years of demonstrated AV delivery experience to manage the end-to-end execution of commercial AV integration projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on project delivery experience within the AV, IT, or systems integration industry, with a strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination. This is a key role supporting VEGA’s growing pipeline of commercial, corporate, and enterprise AV projects across Sydney and beyond, with genuine growth opportunities within a global business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Manage the end-to-end delivery of AV integration projects, from planning and resourcing through to installation, commissioning, and client handover.
- Scheduling & Resourcing: Develop and maintain project programmes, allocate labour and subcontractor resources, and manage critical path timelines.
- Budget & Financial Management: Own project budgets, track costs against forecast, manage variations, and report on project margin and financial performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Manage relationships with equipment vendors and subcontractors, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule commitments are met.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all projects are delivered in line with WHS requirements, quality standards, and Vega’s delivery methodology.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, status reports, and handover packages for internal and client use.
- Multi-Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying scale and complexity across the Sydney region.
- Site Travel: Some travel may be required to support project sites and client locations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years of project management experience within AV, IT, or systems integration.
- Technical Knowledge: Working understanding of AV systems and technologies (e.g., Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Cisco, Poly, Dante) is highly regarded.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, cost tracking, and margin reporting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage client and vendor relationships confidently.
- Organisation: Excellent time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive, solutions-focused approach to resolving on-site and scheduling challenges.
- Certifications: Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card) required.
- Licence: Valid Australian driver’s licence required.
