Job Overview


The Service & Delivery Engineer (Audio Visual Industry) is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support, system maintenance, and AV solution deployment for enterprise and commercial clients. This role requires strong hands-on engineering skills, in-depth knowledge of conferencing and integrated AV systems, and the ability to ensure seamless service delivery. The engineer will work closely with project, operations, and support teams to guarantee system reliability, optimize performance, and maintain exceptional client satisfaction.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Project Delivery & Implementation

  • Support project teams in executing AV deployment plans from start to finish.
  • Review engineering drawings, system schematics, and technical documentation to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams for timely and quality project delivery.

 

Technical Service & Support

  • Perform installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of AV and conferencing systems.
  • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related AV issues.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.

 

Client Support & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, addressing service requests and system inquiries.
  • Provide technical guidance, system usage training, and best practices to end users.
  • Ensure high service standards and maintain strong client satisfaction throughout the service lifecycle.

 

System Optimization & Technology Awareness

  • Stay updated on emerging AV and conferencing technologies, firmware updates, and industry standards.
  • Recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance system reliability and user experience.
  • Conduct system evaluations and generate reports on performance and service outcomes.

 

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate service logs, technical reports, and system configuration records.
  • Prepare service incident summaries and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Ensure documentation complies with company and client requirements.

   

Professional Skills & Abilities

  • Strong technical understanding of AV and conferencing systems, including integration, control systems, DSPs, networking, and UC platforms.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for AV hardware and software.
  • Excellent communication and client-handling abilities in both technical and non-technical settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, signal flow diagrams, and network topologies.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple service tasks.
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and service workflows.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Audio Visual Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in AV service engineering, field support, or system commissioning (conferencing industry preferred).
  • Proven experience working with AV brands such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Poly, Logitech, and similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of AV-over-IP, UC platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex), network fundamentals, and control programming.
  • Proficiency in using technical tools, testing equipment, and MS Office Suite.
