Bangkok, Thailand — July 17, 2026 – VEGA marked a milestone in its corporate history by celebrating its 40th anniversary with an exclusive evening gala dinner at The Athenee Hotel in Bangkok. The landmark gathering brought together over 200 guests, including international clients, executive leadership, regional team members, consultants, and valued vendor partners.
The evening commenced with an energetic live drum and violin performance before transitioning into formal addresses led by the master of ceremonies. Beyond honoring four decades of industry leadership, the event provided a platform to recognize VEGA’s extensive global network and outline its strategic vision for the future of audiovisual technology.
Honoring 40 Years of AV Leadership and Growth
VEGA CEO Steve Medeiros opened the formal proceedings with an inspiring address on the company’s future, followed by a tribute to its origins delivered by Founder and Board Member Laurie Chow. Reflecting on the company’s journey since its last major anniversary in Hong Kong, Mr. Chow expressed deep gratitude to the global staff and partners who helped build the firm’s legacy. To mark the occasion, special commemorative gifts were presented to both leaders before the entire executive leadership team and regional country managers joined them on stage for a global toast.

North Asia Growth: Executive Director, Molly Chow shared insights into expansion across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Greater China, and South Korea, while emphasizing initiatives that empower women in the AV industry.
Japan Market Success: Managing Director Richard Johns discussed establishing VEGA Japan and building it into a premier regional operation.
Expansion Across India & MEA: Blessing Joseph, SVP and Managing Director for VEGA India and MEA, detailed the company’s trajectory from opening its first Mumbai office in 2012 to driving growth across the Middle East and Africa.
Industry recognition also took center stage as AVIXA CEO David Labuskes and Chief Global Officer Sarah Joyce presented VEGA with a special commemorative gift to honor the 40-year milestone.
